Hi. My name's Charlie. I'm 16. I live in London and like to travel. I have quite a big crush on Jack Barakat of All Time Low. I like to watch Doctor Who (because it's cool) and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I like tea, Young Guns and Kids In Glass Houses. I enjoy all different types of music and I want to be a musician.

Bands like Young Guns, The Blackout and You Me At Six seem to be getting more and more notice and the fanbases are growing, whereas KIGH seem to be lagging behind, and it’s not fair. It’s not giving justice to how amazing they are, not just as a band, but as people.
They’ve taken time to try new directions out and you can see how much their sound has improved and evolved since Smart Casual. They’re not afraid to take risks and they’ve shown how diverse and different they can be. But it’s never rewarded.
Also, they’ve not sacrificed their independence or integrity and never selflessly promote themselves. This is probably the reason they don’t have any crazy fans like other bands do, which is good in a way because it makes the fanbase a lot more friendly, but then on the flip side it means they haven’t got a lot of dedicated fans, and some of the fans they do have are fickle.
I just hate that in this current music scene that without the help of “fan girls” bands can’t get the notice and success they deserve, but then it means they’re horribly close to selling out and sacrificing their integrity, which is something I know KIGH will never do. But then it leaves them lagging behind other bands, and supporting them at shows when they SHOULD be headlining.
The fact they didn’t sell out many (or any?) of the venues on their last tour, and IGB didn’t do very well in the charts makes me horrifically sad because they put their heart and soul into that album and deserved so much more.
I want them to be happy and content with where they are, and I don’t think they are, and it kills me.
Why can’t they just get the success they deserve?! Especially when other bands are rated above them, and those bands are nowhere near as courageous as KIGH when it comes to trying to develop a new sound and evolve as a band. They just churn out the same old average shit, album after album just to keep the hordes happy.
It makes me so angry/sad.
shame too because compared...KIGH, Young Guns really aren’t all that.
